Knit Kneutrality

We're all guilty of it. Around this time of year, we get a taste of warm spring weather and think summer is just around the corner!

So we dig out our skirts and sandals to bare our new pedicures and freshly waxed, white legs that have been hiding all winter. Then we call up our friends and flock to the outdoor patios, the rooftops, the park, and the beer gardens.  Unfortunately, more often than not, the warm day is just a tease, and reality sets with the sudden 30 degree drop the following day. With such variability this time of year, we need to dress for any weather possibility when we step out our front door.

Weather like this is why I love the versatile sweater dress, the workhorse of clothing items with staying power from fall through spring. Most can be worn with or without tights, with sandals or boots, layered under a jacket or not. It's the perfect closet staple for days where conditions vary and temperature ranges widely fluctuate within the span of a day.

Today we're on the Coney Island boardwalk with a cable knit sweater dress from Elliatt. This dress has got it going on! With a fun high-low hem, it can be worn with thigh-high boots during inclement weather days or sneakers and sandals when spring really decides to stay and the countdown to summer really starts. Truthfully, I'm already counting. Happy spring everyone!
