Anniversary Edition: Made for Walkin

Happy anniversary! The Wearwithal is celebrating its one-year mark - my how time flies! In the space of 12 months, we've seen 17 outfits, amassed 2,383 Facebook followers, made over 200 Instagram friends,  collaborated with 6 photographers and shot in four countries. Not too shabby for an ultra-grassroots effort with absolutely zero freebies from anyone. If there's one thing I've learned it's that starting a blog is easy. Keeping it up is the hard part, especially if you blog only during your spare time while the rest of real life competes for your attention. So hell yeah, The Wearwithal deserves this celebratory red velvet cupcake from Georgetown Bakery!

The Wearwithal Made for Walking Rachel Rosales

We're still on the theme of transition wear here, so I've donned my favorite boots of the moment: The High Street from Stuart Weitzman. Unlike my 50/50 boots from the last post, these are high-heeled and thigh-high. Never would I have thought I'd ever be wearing thigh-high boots...but here we are. And I. love. them. Still hot from the Stuart Weitzman's Fall 2014 campaign (see amazing video here), these boots are perfect for transition and into winter because they manage to cover up a lot to keep you warm yet still look sleek.

I've paired my boots with leather shorts (on sale right now!), but they also go well with skirts of any length, from mini to midi and even ankle length. Because these gorgeous boots have been out for a year, you'll find many similar thigh high boots at varying price points in other brands. If you've never considered going thigh-high, I hope this gets you thinking. C'mon, you know you want to.

Before I end off, I just want to give a sincere thanks to everyone who has supported The Wearwithal this past year. I hope to keep working on the site and keep getting better with time to provide you with fun, interesting and inspiring content. Now excuse me while I finish off my anniversary cupcake!
